“Unbelievable - so much better than a hotel”

We stayed in The Sands for Christmas 2008. It was an amazing stay. There are two buildings which are part of the Sands complex; Kepwick and Lockton House; we stayed in an apartment in Lockton which is further along the promenade, away from the road. We stayed in apartment 1 Lockton House - totally recommend it - we will be back.

The apartment was amazingly well appointed with 2 large bedrooms, ensuite to the main and a large house bathroom. Both equipped with toiletries and towels you would normally find only in a high end boutique/5 star hotel. The beds are brilliant

The living area contained a 40" LCD TV along with a Sony Playstation and Nintendo Wii. To be honest the best thing was the view through main window across the beach to Scarborough Castle. We spent hours just gazing across the bay, watching the waves - so relaxing. It was very cold when we stayed, in the summer the balcony will be brilliant.

The staff at the Sands are very helpful and speak to Peter (the Concierge) who can recommend restaurants and days out. He recommended a restaurant called the Glass House which is opposite the miniture railway round the corner - superb

Locally there are loads of walks into and around Scarborough. As well as great places to visit - we spent a day in Robin Hood Bay.

Would completely recommend staying in this apartment and this complex. We will be booking it again - we rarely ever go back to the same place but we will this time. A break to remember.

My wife and I have just spent a weekend at The Sands at the North Bay in Scarborough. This was the first weekend they opened the first 24 apartments of this luxurious complex.

 It's always wonderful walking into a brand new apartment with the smell of new wood, feeling the softness of the carpets, seeing the the high standard of furnishings, the pristine kitchen area with every appliance you could wish for and of course, the view. Our view was of the sea, the crescent shape of the North Bay and Scarborough castle; the balcony also afforded views further to the North.

Two comfortable leather sofas were thoughtfully arranged in front of a 42'' Home Entertainment screen. The roomy house bathroom contained a full size bath with shower and hot towels courtesy of the heated rails.

The master suite had a shower and again the luxury hot soft towels, gave the finishing touches. The beds were of a high standard thus giving us two nights of interrupted rest.

One or two minor teething problems which didn't affect our total enjoyment. Suitable for all.

Just stayed at sands for 3 nights top class apartments 5 star luxury and brilliant central heating for each apartment just wish id paid extra for a sea view room also great secure parking.

Just had a great weekend at the Sand’s. Booked a sea view, fantastic views, great extra’s like binoculars make the difference between here and other accomodation. Family loved it, will be back.
