Apartment had the best of EVERYTHING - space/furnishings/equipment/views/ staff
Really wouldn't like to recommned it - much rather would like to keep it a secret ! Felt so relaxed that we choose to stay in and cook in the extordinarily well equipped kitchen, dine at the candle-lit dining room table and then decide between sitting on the balcony watching the sun set or play on the Wii fit provided - or watch a DVD from the library on site! Decisons Decisons Decisions - but guess what - we'll be back!!!
Not least because of the wonderful attention paid to us by the concierge in providing help and advice. Thank you all at The Sands!

- I have just got back from 2 nights stay at the Sands and can honestly say it is the best hotel/appartment I've ever stayed in. It was easy to find situated virtually right on the sea front. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, showing us to the rooms and also explaining how things worked.The appartment was top class. It was furished to an extremly high standard and the decor was also very well done. It was well equiped with every thing you could possibly need including a wii. The view from our room was truly breathtaking looking straight out over the beach to the castle. The parking was easily accessible and secure. I would highly reccomend The Sands and would stay again.

A brand new complex on the North Bay of Scarborough. The accommodation is well presented and we stayed in a 2 bed apartment overlooking the sea. The property is well equipped (particularly the kitchen and there is even a telly in the master bedroom.) The view from the lounge is wonderful.
There is a daily cleaner and a gym for those with the time. From here there were plenty of walks (we loved the walk to the Sea Life Centre although that was looking in need of some attention.)
The 'hamper' on arrival was pleasant and included bread, 2 sachet of coffee (that didn't go far!), two tea bags, 4 butter squares, two mini jams, washing up liquid and j-cloth and tea towel. Perhaps more coffee/tea would have been nice but a thoughtful gesture anyway.
The secure car park was nice with an allocated space although parking wasn't a problem this time of year....
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this accommodation.

'I have just returned from a perfect break at The Sands. I could not fault the apartment at all. It was kitted out to the highest standard and really deserved the 5 star rating. We had a beautiful designer kitchen with a dishwasher, oven, hob etc and all pans and utensils you could need, but we were only there for one night so cooking was not part of our plan! The views were breath taking and we couldn't have been any closer to the sea without getting our toes wet!! The room had a Nintendo Wii which provided hours of entertainment. The staff were great, especailly Rachel and Peter who both went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and special. The apartment was perfect for our girlie break but i also plan to return with my two small children as it is very private with lots of space, games, jigsaws and seperate bedrooms which is a big improvement from a hotel. I would recommend the sands to everyone, I'll definately be back. Very impressive, especially in the snow!'
