Guests Arrive At The Sands By Helicopter......

Helicopter owner Steve Grindle and his partner Liz Dubois, of Gloucestershire, decided to fly in and stay at the Sands apartments after hearing about it from Steve’s parents, Bryan and Margaret, who were on holiday in Scarborough.

The helicopter touched down at Scarborough Rugby Club and was kept there overnight while the family enjoyed their stay.

Rachel Dean, director of Escape to the Sands, said: “These were our first guests ever to arrive by helicopter. Mr and Mrs Grindle were in Scarborough for a two-night break and Steve and Liz decided to join them for the second night.

“They all said what a beautiful place Scarborough was and are now hoping to come back again.”

Rachel added: "Helicopters are just fantastic! I hope I can have a go in it next time! Ha Ha!"

Miss Dean thanked the rugby club for all their help and the use of their field.
