Scarborough Council bosses say progress on the project to date has been "good", with the handover date to entertainment management company Apollo Resorts and Leisure Ltd set for July 30.

The project's main contractor, Middlesbrough firm Tolent Construction, has now been on site for 10 weeks and is working with a number of sub-contractors local to the Scarborough area.
A report, signed by the council's strategic director David Archer and head of technical services John Riby, will go before the council's projects and partnerships overview and scrutiny committee on Monday.
Mr Archer says: "Progress on site on the project to date has been good. Tolent have currently been on site for 10 weeks and all activities are on programme.
"The construction foundations have been excavated and cast in situ to over 50 per cent of the auditorium site.

"The island has been cleared and is ready to commence construction of the concrete platform slab."
He adds: "It is anticipated that this work to erect the performance stage will commence on site on April 19 for a period of four weeks, with completion due on May 21.
"The contracted handover date to Apollo is due on July 30, therefore giving a programme 'float' of 10 weeks."
Contractors have also been holding regular liaison meetings with the nearby North Bay Railway Company and Glass House Bistro and The Sands luxury self catering.
The council spent £20,000 employing an ecologist after newts were discovered on the island. They have since been relocated to the adjacent newt pond.
Planning permission has also been submitted for a permanent backstage changing area.
Mr Archer said: "Origin-ally Benchmark's planning permission for the backstage area was for the provision of artists' accommodation within temporary buildings.
"The council and Apollo consider that in order to attract the high quality artists expected at The Sands Open Air Theatre, a permanent backstage changing area will be a prerequisite and a planning application has been submitted for such building."
