The awards were held at a glittering ceremony at the Spa Complex in Scarborough last night.

The judges said that The Sands won the award for the superb location, stunning sea views, beautiful decor and outstanding customer service.

Robert Dean, Director of The Sands, said: 'This is absolutely amazing; to win this award is so fantastic and really tops off a superb year for us. It's all down to customers who have been so supportive and have spread the word of what an amazing holiday destination we are.'
